Wedding photography London – Lydia & Neil (Flashman is off the menu)
IMMI were proud and honoured to photograph the London wedding of Neil & Lydia. Neil was best-man at one of our weddings a few years ago and once you have met Neil you don’t forget him a wonderful mix of Terry Thomas and Rowley Birkin QC. Neil rang to inform us he was marrying the beautiful Lydia and we jumped at the chance to shoot their big day.
IMMI met Neil at a gorgeous flat opposite the MTV studios in Camden, where he was in the throws of getting ready under the guiding eye of his best-man David, who’s main task was to keep Neil from joining the Camden crawl. Neil looked the consummate gentleman in his Saville row tailored morning suit.
Leaving the lads who were off to the pub, IMMI headed to see Lydia at No1 The studio the scene of many a late night party, or so we are lead to believe! Lydia looked stunning in a knee length 60’s number. We all walked the ten minutes to their local church, Danish church of Saint Catherine, Regents park. A beautiful service was followed by nibbles and some eminently quaffable wine from the Deakin estates.
Everyone piled onto a couple of route-master buses to do three laps of Camden and then to admire the views from Primrose hill as the storm clouds closed in. Before the storm clouds opened we headed off to the reception at The royal institute of British Architects.
The speeches went down a storm with the best-man David proving that Cranbrook not only produces ATB’s but some wonderful creative writing. The first dance followed with a wonderful rendition of Saturday night fever.
IMMI left the whole party dancing away the night to the sounds of DJ Bobby Lost.
Here are a few images from their day.
